By Eamonn Byrne

Tinryland will face neighbours Palatine in a mouth watering local derby in the Carlow S.F.L division 1 at Rathcrogue on Monday evening 2nd April at 7.30pm under lights.

Both clubs have had mixed luck in the league so far with Tinryland defeating Mount Leinster Rangers and Fenagh before losing out to reigning league champions Eire Og by the minimum margin in a cracking game at Pairc Ui Bhrian on Thursday last.

Palatine recently defeated Kildavin-Clonegal after losing to Rathvilly in the first game of the league.

Tinryland junior A team will play St Patricks in Tullow on Tuesday 27th March at 6.30 the opening game of the S.F.L. division 3 while the junior B squad open their campaign in division 4 on Wednesday evening 28th March away to Palatine at 6.30 p.m.

Tinryland minors who defeated Palatine and lost to Eire Og in the first two rounds will play O’Hanrahans on  Thursday 29th March in Deerpark at 7 p.m
