Tinryland GFC AGM 2011

Tinryland GFC held its AGM on Monday 28th November. There was a huge attendance reflecting the success of the club in 2011. After an excellent and comprehensive report from the outgoing secretary John Scott, the Chairman Peenie Whelan addressed the meeting and thanked all who gave a voluntary effort to the club as well as wishing all the mentors, coaches and players the best for 2012. He gave particular thanks to John Scott with respect to the excellent job he has done for the club as secretary over the past number of years. Particular mention was given to the huge voluntary effort that is needed to raise funds for 2012. A minute’s silence was observed for the former Tinryland great Tommy O’Neill. 

Former chairman and county player Mick Murphy announced his intention to run for the post of County Secretary. Mick received unanimous endorsement at the meeting and all members present indicated that they would support Mick in his campaign. We ish Mick the best of luck.
