Tinryland G.F.C. is embracing the Ireland Lights Up initiative under the Operation transformation banner by opening the floodlit walking track to members of the public during the month of February.

The walking track at Rathcrogue will be open between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. every Monday evening commencing on Monday 29th January. Those taking part should sign in with Emma Fitzgerald or Ann Marie Maher prior to commencing the walk.

A number of Carlow supporters from the club travelled to Ruislip last weekend to cheer on Carlow in their Allianz N.F.L.  division 4 clash with London. The club was represented by 3 players namely Paul Broderick, Danny Moran, and Diarmaid Walshe.  Shane Redmond did not make the trip due to injury. Carlow had a successful outing to the English capital picking up full points with a five point win over the exiles. The 2nd round of the league takes place against Limerick in Newcastlewest on Sunday next.

In ladies football Bennekerry-Tinryland players Roisin Byrne and Ciara Nolan were part of the Carlow team that drew with Limerick in the opening round of the N.F.L. division 4 played at the Carlow training centre in Fenagh on Sunday. Carlow ladies are back in action again on Sunday next when they travel to Louth for the 2nd round of the league.

Tickets are now available for the club dinner dance in the Seven Oaks hotel on Friday 2nd March. Tickets can be purchased at the club bar or from members of the Bennekerry-Tinryland ladies club.

Training for Tinryland G.F.C. adult teams will commence on Saturday 10th February.
