Tinryland G.F.C. Sports Notes for 4th July 2017

The Carlow club football championship season is fast approaching and the 1st Tinryland team will be in action on this coming Friday 7th July at the training centre in Fenagh. The U21 team who were successful at minor level will open their campaign against Fenagh at 7.30 p.m. with a place in the semi-final the prize for the winners.

On Saturday next at 3 p.m. in Netwatch Cullen Park Carlow will play Leitrim in round 2 of the All Ireland football qualifiers.  3 Tinryland players namely Paul Broderick, Danny Moran and Shane Redmond will be part of the Carlow panel and the club extends good wishes to the 3 lads and the rest of the Carlow team as they strive to maintain their successful run in this years All Ireland championship.

Well done to Adam Murphy son of club chairman Mick on winning the National U23 200m title in Tullamore at the weekend. Tinryland G.F.C. extends good wishes to Marcus Lawler for a speedy recovery from his recent injury picked up at the European team athletic championships in Finland. Marcus recently spoke to the U16 panel and imparted some good advice to them on how to improve their performance levels.
