U-14 Championship - Tinryland Defeat Éire Óg

                             Tinryland 4-5                       Eire Og 1-8

Tinryland and Eire Og served up an entertaining game in the Carlow u14 football championship in front of a large attendance in Rathcrogue on Monday  last 4th July.

The home side who are unbeaten to date scored the only goal of the opening half when full forward John Murphy netted in the 15th minute. Eire Og stayed in touch with first half points from Colm Hulton, Ciaran Murphy and Dylan Salter to leave 3 points between the sides at half time.

Two second half goals from John Murphy and Jason Curran in the 10th and 12th minutes of the second half saw the home side stretch clear but Eire Og were quick to respond with a great goal from Dylan Salter with 10 minutes remaining . With the result now in the balance the home side sealed victory when Bradleigh Nolan scored his sides 4th goal with 5 minutes remaining. Tinryland have now assured themselves a place in the semi final.

Best for the winners were John Murphy, Dean Dunne, Ciaran Larkin, Cathal Gaffney, Jason Curran and Dylan Reamsbottom.Eire Og had excellent players in Devon McCarthy, Kyle Kenneally, Dean Hayden, Dylan Salter, Craig Snoddy, and Ciaran Murphy.
