No Luck for Junior B team in round 9 of S.F.L. Div. 5

Tinryland junior B team had to play second fiddle to the home side Ballon in round 9 of the S.F.L. div. 5 in Ballon on Monday 5th May. The early stages of this game saw Tinryland play their best football. The men in blue and white got off to a great start when full forward John Farrell crashed the ball to the Ballon net following good play from John Jackson and Michael Moore. A Padraic Whelan point extended the advantage before Ballon settled down to dominate being helped by the fact that Tinryland had a lot of ball turned over. Half Time score Ballon 1-7  Tinryland 1-3 

The second half produced more of the same with Tinryland guilty of giving the ball away easily and being punished by the home side. Highlights of the second half were well taken points from Eoin Fields, Adam Nolan and sub Alan Byrne. Tinryland junior B team are back in action on Monday next 12th May at home to Leighlinbridge. Tinryland players who played well in this game were defenders John Fleming, Mark Lawlor and Adam Mullen together with midfielder Greg Murphy and forwards Padraic Whelan, Eoin Fields and Mick Moore.
