Tinryland kept their winning streak going with an easy victory against a Kilbride side who never got out of the starting blocks in this one-sided game. Tinryland led the first half by five points to no score ( 2 points each from Gary Morrissey and Robbie Power and a point from blood sub Pairic Whelan) until Jason Carroll struck over a point in the 17th minute for the visitors. From this point onwards the first half descended into a physical battle Points from Gary Morrissey were answered by a brace of points from influential midfielder Seamus Gray and an injury time point from Mitch Kelly leaving the visitors trailing by four points to seven at the half time break.

Tenacious work from Gary Morrissey resulted in a free that was converted by Evan Doyle to give the home side the opening point of the second half. Despite missing a barrage of goal chances, Tinryland’s only goal came from the penalty spot from the boot of Ian Scully and effectively sealed the result of the match. Scully converted three more points and points from Padraig Townsend, Alan Barrett, Robbie Power, Keith Jackson and Evan Doyle could only be answered by  solitary point from Kilbride’s lively corner forward Mitch Kelly. Despite the gulf in class the Kilbride goalkeeper and full back line must be commended for heroic defending in both halves and keeping the home side to a solitary goal.
