Tinryland Minor footballers travelled to Hogan Park Fenagh on Tuesday 14th April and wrapped up the league points with the minimum of difficulty. The boys in blue and white hoops led by 2-6 to nil mid- way through the opening half when playing with the strong breeze. Goals from Dean Dunne following good work by his namesake Conall in the 4th minute and by Adam Mullen in the 12th minute gave the winners a strong base and a further Mullen major 3 minutes before the break together with 9 points scored by 6 different players including the above mentioned plus Peter Hennessy, Cathal Gaffney, Killian Maher and Rory Doyle left the scoreboard reading 3-9 to 1-2 in Tinryland’s favour at the break.

When referee John Thompson restarted proceedings Conor McGrath and Bradleigh Nolan were introduced into the fray. Within 2 minutes Dean Dunne had the ball in the Fenagh net once again and a litany of points from Adam Mullen, Conall Dunne, Peter Hennessy, Cathal Gaffney, Killian Maher and Conor McGrath turned this game into a procession long before the referee sounded the long whistle. Fenagh did add on two further points in the second half via Dylan Bradley and Liam Nolan. Outstanding for Tinryland who play Eire Og on Saturday next 18th April in Rathcrogue at 7 p.m. were defenders Conor Ryan, John Murphy, Cathal Gaffney and Rory Doyle together with midfielder Peter Hennessy and forwards Dean Dunne, Conall Dunne, Adam Mullen and Killian Maher. Final score Tinryland 5-17 Fenagh 1-4
