Tinryland 4-18 Burrin Rangers 0-4

It was all too easy for the visitors at James Morris Park in Ballon on Friday last 26th April as they over ran the home side. This game was over as a contest by the 10th minute as Tinryland with a strong breeze in their favour led by 1-9 to 0-0. The first Tinryland goal came as early as the 4th minute when Adam Mullen took advantage of a poor delivery from the Burrin Rangers goalkeeper. A further goal and a point from Mullen and a succession of points from Niall Lowry (3), Conor McGrath (3), Bradleigh Nolan (2), Fionnan Burke, Killian Maher, Dylan Reamsbottom, Ciaran Larkin, Cathal Gaffney and John Murphy left the interval score 2-16 to 0-0 in Tinryland’s favour. The second half began with a much improved showing from Burrin Rangers. Full forward Luke Brennan opened their account in the 1st minute and the same player scored a further two points in addition to another scored by wing forward Eoin Byrne. Further Tinryland goals from substitute Jason Curran and John Murphy put the icing on the cake for the winners who also had good performers in Ciaran Byrne, Conor Ryan, Bradleigh Nolan, Cathal Gaffney, Conor McGrath, Niall Lowry and Ciaran Larkin.

Tinryland have now won two games from three played in this years U16 league and the acid test will come on Friday next 3rd May at 7 p.m. when Eire og will visit Rathcrogue for a key game that will probably determine who tops the group.
